"In every generation in all movements (whether of armies or philosophies), in all schools of literature, the men and woman involved are either obeying God or disobeying Him. They are either trusting Him or they are not trusting Him. All students are learning to love God or they are not learning to love God." -Douglas Wilson
The Twelve Caesars is, well, obviously about twelve caesars beginning with Julius Caesar (who began the reign of Caesars) and ending with the Emporer, Domitian. All were pagans who did not yield to God but set themselves up as gods. In reading this book, we can learn of men who seem to win during their life. They seem to escape God and do what evil they please without any judgement. But although it seems as if God loses and the Emporers win, God will sit on the throne one day and will judge all people (even evil Emporers). He will WIN. All men will yield and give an account to God. No one escapes. Not even the Twelve Caesars.
